Freya, a web designer, has been assigned to create a new website for an adult web company. The problem is, she’s having a creative block. She needs to feel sexy before she can create a sexy web design. With the stress of paying for her younger sister’s college tuition while her boss is threatening to fire her if she doesn’t create a work of genius–and soon–she desperately places a personal ad. She’s looking for a sexy hook-up, not true love, but none of the men who respond are able to spark her interest at all. Unfortunately for her, the only man creating any sparks these days is her upstairs neighbor, Greg. He’s obviously very interested in her, but she doesn’t trust him. (He’s a divorce lawyer, of all things!) In total desperation, she decides to play with fire just long enough to get her creative muse back. She’s hoping and praying she doesn’t get burned, while Greg plans to do just that.

Freya is an independent woman with a lot of responsibility. She comes across as very serious and stiff at first. Greg is an easygoing, open man who wants to break the ice around her heart. Even though she won’t admit it (at first, at least), Freya and Greg have instant chemistry. They get together with help from her meddling younger sister, Anna. I loved the interaction between Greg and Anna. Because she is Freya’s sister, Greg immediately takes on the role of an older brother with her, making it clear he’s interested in a long-term relationship. Watching Anna thwart Freya’s dates with the men who answer her personal ad creates humor and keeps the story light-hearted. A word of caution: there are a few very detailed sex scenes that may offend some readers.

Sizzling stuff

Did this book sizzle and burn? You betcha. I loved it and did not want it to finish. How could Freya not fall for such a gorgeous, caring hunk like Greg. He sounded so dreamy. Yum. A really enjoyable read.
